I am an
Echinacea

What Flower
Are You?

"You are a health conscious person, both your health and the health of others. You know all about the health benefits and dangers of the world around you."

This is ironic since I was on the phone 1/2 the day today with my insurance company, billing office and doctor's office. I apparently exceeded my preventative health care benefit for the year and they will not cover any of my colonoscopy. My preventative benefit is only $250 per year. That turns out to be ONE doctor visit to prevent getting sick, but if I get sick I can go to the doctor as often as I want and just pay my co-pay. I hate insurance!!!

P.S. My colonoscopy results were great...no polyps! :)

i took the homepathic medicine called "echinacea" and it worked great for me as an antibiotic!! you left out the best part of this story (i could just edit your post for you since i have your password-haha!) -- you know the part about not having any polyps or cancer in your colon!!

That's funny - I was an echinacea the first time I took the quiz, but I changed a couple answers just to see if it would change. Then I liked the daffodil description better.

What a bummer about your insurance. It is so frustrating...especially since there's NEVER any easy way to tell whether you're getting charged too much or if something should've been covered. You might call your doctor's billing offices and see if there's another code they can submit it under so that your insurance will cover it.

... also sometimes the doctor can reduce the charges if they know you have to pay for it out-of-pocket. Like my ENT doctor who did my sinus surgery - the follow-up visits were like $600 each on my insurance, but if I were paying, they were only going to charge me $200 per visit. What a bargain!

I did call everyone (insurance, billing office and doctor's office). The insurance company told me to ask the same thing, but the doctor's office said they have to bill for the services they provided.
